SpexAI Reveices European Funding

Dresden, Germany — October 16, 2019 — SpexAI GmbH is based in Dresden, the heart of Saxony, and funded by two significant European funds ESF and EFRE for its innovative product. The funding enabled SpexAI to enhance their multispectral sensors and produce the first units of their pilot series.

“We are grateful for the official recognition and support of the free state of Saxony and the European Union. And as a young company we are pleased to be able to contribute to the economic growth of Saxony,” says Nadine Walther, Managing Director of SpexAI GmbH.

From the European Social Fund (ESF), Saxony can use around 663 million Euros from 2014 to 2020. ESF funding priorities are education, training and vocational training, sustainable and high-quality employment, social inclusion and the fight against poverty and discrimination.

From the European Regional Development Fund (EFRE), Saxony has around 2.1 billion Euros at its disposal from 2014 to 2020. Companies, municipalities, research institutions, schools and the university landscape in Saxony will benefit from EFRE funding. Investments will also be made in climate protection and flood protection. The focus points of EFRE funding are: enhancing research, technological development and innovation; improving the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises; reduction of CO2-emissions; risk prevention and sustainable urban development.
